February's Artist of the Month Named

Amber Brown will be the Artist of the Month for the Canastota Public Library!  Brown, a 2005 graduate of Canastota High School.  She studied Art Education at Syracuse University with a concentration in painting.  After graduating in 2009, Brown stayed on at SU and received her Masters in Art Education.  She enjoys working with all mediums which is why art education is such an interest to her.  Brown is currently working as a substitute teacher for the Canastota Central School System. 

Brown's artwork will be on display for the entire month of February in the Lawson Community Room.  Her display will include ceramics, paintings, prints and mixed media.  An Artist's Reception will be held on Wednesday, February 9th at 7pm in the Lawson Community Room..  Light refreshments will be served and the reception is open to the public.
